Varo Coffee Table - Travertine
The Varo Coffee Table in Travertine is a solid stone table measuring 120cm wide, 90cm deep and 38cm high, on four curved slab legs. The top is a rounded rectangle with a thick bullnose edge, in a pale cream travertine with the linear banding the stone is known for. It arrives in parts and is assembled in place.

Travertine is the palest option in this range and the one that asks least of a room. The banding runs in soft parallel lines rather than the branching veins of a marble, so the surface reads as texture rather than pattern and does not compete with a rug underneath it. On a pale floor the table almost disappears, which is exactly the point if the sofa is the thing you want looked at.
At 90cm deep this is a wide table rather than a long thin one, and that changes what it can do. Two people can put something down from opposite sides without reaching across, and a tray, a stack of books and a lamp can coexist on it rather than queueing. The 38cm height sits just below a typical seat, which is the comfortable relationship for putting a cup down without leaning forward.

Note: Natural stone, so colour, veining and density vary from piece to piece. Minor pitting and surface fissures are characteristic of the material.
Dust with a soft dry cloth or a feather duster and keep abrasive fabrics away from the surface. Wipe any spill immediately with a damp cloth and dry it thoroughly, because liquid left sitting can mark natural stone permanently rather than temporarily. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners entirely. Kolbi notes that minor pitting and surface fissures are normal characteristics of natural stone, and that stone is not scratch-proof, so small nicks count as wear rather than as a fault.
