Varo Coffee Table - Rosso
The Varo Coffee Table in Rosso is a deep red marble table measuring 120cm wide, 90cm deep and 38cm high. The oxblood ground is crossed by white and cream veins, with the same rounded rectangular top and four curved legs as the rest of the Varo range. Assembly is required once it is in position.

The piece
The detail behind the silhouette
This is the boldest colourway Kolbi offers on the Varo and it is not a background piece. A red stone table becomes the thing a room is arranged around, which is either exactly what you want or exactly what you should avoid, and there is not much middle ground. In a restrained room of cream, black and timber it does a great deal of work on its own.
The white veining is what keeps the colour from reading as flat. It breaks the oxblood into irregular fields and gives the eye somewhere to travel, so the top has depth rather than looking like a painted surface. Set it against a pale rug and the contrast is deliberate; set it on a dark floor and much of that structure is lost.

Note: Natural stone, so colour, veining and density vary from piece to piece. Minor pitting and surface fissures are characteristic of the material.
Keep the surface free of dust using a soft microfibre cloth, and avoid any fabric coarse enough to scratch. Wipe spills away the moment they occur and dry the area, as liquid left on natural stone can mark it permanently. Skip household chemical cleaners in favour of a barely damp cloth. Kolbi is explicit that marble is not scratch-proof and that small nicks are general wear and tear rather than a fault covered by warranty.
