The Varo Coffee Table in Moss is a green marble table, 120cm wide and 90cm deep, standing 38cm high on four curved slab legs. The stone is a mottled green shot through with fine rust-coloured veins and paler grey-white cloudiness. It is supplied in parts for assembly in the room.

Green stone is a stronger decision than a neutral one, and this is a case where the material rather than the shape carries the piece. The mottling is irregular and the rust veins cut across it at angles, so no two tops are alike and the surface rewards a second look in a way a plain stone does not. It sits naturally with timber, leather and warm metals.
It also solves a practical problem that pale stone creates. A mid-toned, heavily figured surface is far more forgiving of the ordinary clutter of a coffee table, and it does not show every ring and smudge the way a cream top does. You still want to wipe spills up promptly, but the table will not look neglected between cleans.

Note: Natural stone, so colour, veining and density vary from piece to piece. Minor pitting and surface fissures are characteristic of the material.
Dust with a soft, clean cloth or a feather duster and keep away from harsh chemicals, which can dull the finish on natural stone. Spills should be cleaned immediately with a damp cloth and then dried properly, because anything left standing may mark the surface for good. Wash in small overlapping strokes rather than scrubbing at one spot. Minor pitting and fissures are characteristic of the material, not defects, and small scratches are wear rather than a warranty matter.
