Urban Sofa LHC - Ecru
The Urban Sofa LHC in Ecru is a curved two-piece sofa, 338cm wide and 105cm deep, with the open chaise end on the left as you face it. Ecru is an undyed-looking cream that keeps the curve legible instead of letting it disappear into shadow. The seat sits at 40cm and the two sections bolt together on delivery.

The detail behind the silhouette
At 3.38 metres this is a room-defining piece, and the curve is the reason it can carry that length without dominating. A straight sofa of the same size reads as a wall; this one bends away from you across its run, so the eye follows it rather than stopping at it. Measure the wall and then measure the doorway, because the two sections arrive in cartons of 1400mm and 2400mm and both have to get in.
A pale sofa shows the shape of a thing better than a dark one does. Every seam, every roll of the arm and the whole sweep of the chaise stay visible in ecru, where a charcoal version of the same frame would flatten into a silhouette. The trade is the obvious one, and it is worth being honest with yourself about a cream sofa in a house with small children or a dog that is allowed up.

Vacuum the seat and back with a soft brush head, paying attention to where the two sections meet, since that join collects more than the open runs do. Deal with spills the moment they happen by dabbing with white absorbent cloth and mild soap suds, never detergent and never rubbing. Kolbi recommends an annual professional dry clean, which is worth scheduling on a pale upholstery rather than leaving until it looks due. Keep it out of hard direct sun, which fades an undyed-looking fabric unevenly.
