The two tones are the whole design. Slate and almond spun together give a surface that changes as the light moves across it, which is how a flatweave with no pattern manages to hold interest at all.
Scale changes how the mottling reads. Across a small rug the eye takes in the whole variation at once, where on a large one it resolves into an overall tone.
A fringe on a small rug is a larger proportion of the object than it is on a big one, so it is worth treating as part of the design rather than as a finish. Comb it straight by hand and it stays looking deliberate.

Vacuum or shake out, keeping the head clear of the fringe. Hose down and dry flat when needed. Keep undercover and store rolled and dry.

White glove delivery
Our two-person team carries your piece into the room of your choice, unpacks it, assembles it where needed and takes the packaging away.
Delivery price: one price per order, set by the largest service in it. Furniture and rugs come white glove, metro from $199, regional from $349. Mirrors, art and large decor or lighting come by room delivery, from $149: two people place them in your room, without hanging or installation. Lighting ships by courier from $49. Smaller decor ships by courier from $25, usually free on decor orders over $350. Some remote areas are quoted after you order.
In-stock pieces usually arrive in 2 to 4 weeks. Out-of-stock and made-to-order pieces can take up to 12 to 16 weeks. We'll confirm your timing and call to book your delivery.
Restricted access: stairs, tight corners, a long carry from the truck or no parking nearby add $79. Lifts are fine.
