A green rug is a bigger commitment than a beige one, and this is the version that asks the least of a room. The tone is dulled rather than saturated, so it reads closer to a warm grey at a distance and only resolves as green when you are standing on it. That makes it a colour you can put under an existing sofa rather than one you have to build a scheme around.
The viscose content does something particular to a mid tone. Because the fibre carries light along its length, the colour changes with the direction of the pile and the position of a window, so the rug looks darker walking one way and lighter walking back. Combined with the hand loom knotted construction, which leaves no glued backing, this is a rug that will move and mark like a natural fibre rather than sit flat like a synthetic.
