Tepih Dune Rug - Olive
The Tepih Dune Rug in Olive is hand loom knotted from 70% viscose and 30% wool, in three sizes from 200 x 300cm to 300 x 400cm. Olive is a muted green with enough grey in it to behave as a neutral in most rooms. It is rated for indoor use, and the supplier recommends a rug pad.

A green rug is a bigger commitment than a beige one, and this is the version that asks the least of a room. The tone is dulled rather than saturated, so it reads closer to a warm grey at a distance and only resolves as green when you are standing on it. That makes it a colour you can put under an existing sofa rather than one you have to build a scheme around.
The viscose content does something particular to a mid tone. Because the fibre carries light along its length, the colour changes with the direction of the pile and the position of a window, so the rug looks darker walking one way and lighter walking back. Combined with the hand loom knotted construction, which leaves no glued backing, this is a rug that will move and mark like a natural fibre rather than sit flat like a synthetic.

Keep to a low power vacuum, used often, and spot clean rather than wet wash. Avoid prolonged direct sun on a dyed mid tone, since fading shows first along the edge that gets the most light. Each rug is handcrafted and will vary slightly from the next.

Our two-person team carries your piece into the room of your choice, unpacks it, assembles it where needed and takes the packaging away.
Delivery price: one price per order, set by the largest service in it. Furniture and rugs come white glove, metro from $199, regional from $349. Mirrors, art and large decor or lighting come by room delivery, from $149: two people place them in your room, without hanging or installation. Lighting ships by courier from $49. Smaller decor ships by courier from $25, usually free on decor orders over $350. Some remote areas are quoted after you order.
In-stock pieces usually arrive in 2 to 4 weeks. Out-of-stock and made-to-order pieces can take up to 12 to 16 weeks. We'll confirm your timing and call to book your delivery.
Restricted access: stairs, tight corners, a long carry from the truck or no parking nearby add $79. Lifts are fine.
