Combining cut and looped tufts in one rug is how a single colour is given a pattern. The cut sections take light and read lighter; the closed loops hold shadow and read darker, and the wave form is drawn entirely in that difference.
A sculpted surface should be laid where it will be seen at a low angle. Straight down from standing height the pattern is at its faintest, and from a seated position across a room it is at its strongest.
Tufted rugs are built on a backing rather than woven through. Keep the underside dry, use an underlay so the backing is not abraded against the floor, and store the rug rolled if it ever comes up.

Vacuum with suction only, since half the surface is looped. Blot spills. Do not wet-clean at home, as water held in a tufted backing does not dry out.

White glove delivery
Our two-person team carries your piece into the room of your choice, unpacks it, assembles it where needed and takes the packaging away.
Delivery price: one price per order, set by the largest service in it. Furniture and rugs come white glove, metro from $199, regional from $349. Mirrors, art and large decor or lighting come by room delivery, from $149: two people place them in your room, without hanging or installation. Lighting ships by courier from $49. Smaller decor ships by courier from $25, usually free on decor orders over $350. Some remote areas are quoted after you order.
In-stock pieces usually arrive in 2 to 4 weeks. Out-of-stock and made-to-order pieces can take up to 12 to 16 weeks. We'll confirm your timing and call to book your delivery.
Restricted access: stairs, tight corners, a long carry from the truck or no parking nearby add $79. Lifts are fine.
