The Sid Occasional Chair in Pewter - Matt Black is 83cm wide, 75cm deep and 76cm high, upholstered on a welded metal frame. The frame is left visible around the seat rather than covered, so the chair reads as two materials. The colour names the fabric first and the frame finish second.

A visible metal frame under upholstery does two useful things. It holds a slim profile that a timber frame could not, and it gives the chair a hard line against a soft cushion, which is what stops an occasional chair looking like a small sofa.
At 83cm wide this is a generous single chair rather than a tight one. At 76cm high the back is low enough to sit under a window or in front of a sideboard without blocking it, which is often where an occasional chair has to go.
The caveat is the frame itself. Metal transmits every knock to the floor, so on timber or tile the feet want checking for pads, and a frame that gets dragged will mark a floor faster than a timber leg.

Delivery price: one price per order, set by the largest service in it. Furniture and rugs come white glove, metro from $199, regional from $349. Mirrors, art and large decor or lighting come by room delivery, from $149: two people place them in your room, without hanging or installation. Lighting ships by courier from $49. Smaller decor ships by courier from $25, usually free on decor orders over $350. Some remote areas are quoted after you order.
In-stock pieces usually arrive in 2 to 4 weeks. Out-of-stock and made-to-order pieces can take up to 12 to 16 weeks. We'll confirm your timing and call to book your delivery.
Restricted access: stairs, tight corners, a long carry from the truck or no parking nearby add $79. Lifts are fine.
