Shiro Soap is an invigorating white cleansing bar from Sort of Coal, made using Char Essence and sold as a 100gm bar. It is formulated for normal and oily skin yet stays gentle enough for sensitive skin. The lather comes up fast and holds well enough to shave with.

Where Kuro is the obvious charcoal bar, Shiro is the discreet one, built on Char Essence with the same purifying and pH balancing effect and none of the black. It will not mark a pale basin or a light soap dish, which is a small consideration right up until it is not.

The scent is woody and smoky, which very few people expect from a white bar. It draws out impurities without leaving skin feeling tight, and because it is mild enough for sensitive types it is a sensible choice for a shared bathroom where not everyone has the same tolerance.
