The piece
The detail behind the silhouette
Type D is the only Shelfmate in this finish that runs vertical rather than horizontal, and that changes what it can do. A tall narrow unit fills the space beside a doorway or between two windows, where a wide shelf would overshoot.
In a group it is the piece that gives a wall arrangement height. Composed entirely of horizontal units, a Shelfmate wall stays low and banded; one vertical unit breaks that and makes the whole thing read as a composition rather than a row. At 75cm it holds taller objects than the other units, so a trailing plant or a stack of books upright rather than flat. Black stain over reclaimed teak keeps it dark enough to read as a single form against a pale wall.

White glove delivery
Our two-person team carries your piece into the room of your choice, unpacks it, assembles it where needed and takes the packaging away.
Delivery price: one price per order, set by the largest service in it. Furniture and rugs come white glove, metro from $199, regional from $349. Mirrors, art and large decor or lighting come by room delivery, from $149: two people place them in your room, without hanging or installation. Lighting ships by courier from $49. Smaller decor ships by courier from $25, usually free on decor orders over $350. Some remote areas are quoted after you order.
In-stock pieces usually arrive in 2 to 4 weeks. Out-of-stock and made-to-order pieces can take up to 12 to 16 weeks. We'll confirm your timing and call to book your delivery.
Restricted access: stairs, tight corners, a long carry from the truck or no parking nearby add $79. Lifts are fine.
