Gloss is a decision, not a default. A high-shine sage green will bounce light around a dim dining room and make the piece the brightest thing in it, and it will show fingerprints and dust in a way a matt finish never does. In the right room it is the most characterful piece here; in the wrong one it is high maintenance.
Adjustable and removable shelves are the practical case for this over a fixed-shelf cabinet. Take them out and the interior becomes one tall space for decanters, vases or anything that will not lie down; put them back and it stores plates. Very little storage furniture at this size offers that. The curve on the case is what stops 120cm of gloss reading as a flat wall of colour.
