The Oberon Crescent Marble Buffet is 180cm wide with a natural travertine top over shell-toned ash veneer, on a plinth base. Five compartments each hold a removable shelf, and the curved doors run on push-to-open Hettich hardware with no handles to interrupt the front. It stands 75cm high.

The detail behind the silhouette
A plinth base is a different proposition from legs. It grounds the piece, reads as built in rather than freestanding, and gives you a solid horizontal line at floor level. In a room that already has a lot of visible leg, from the table and the chairs, a plinth is the calmer choice.
Push-to-open hardware is what makes the handleless front possible, and Hettich is a named manufacturer rather than an unspecified fitting, which counts for something on a mechanism you will operate several times a day. Five compartments with removable shelves is an adaptable arrangement: take a shelf out and the opening takes tall pieces, leave it in and it takes plates. Travertine varies in colour and veining from slab to slab, so the piece that arrives will not be identical to the photograph.
