The Oberon Crescent Marble Bedside in Shell has a natural travertine top with a square profile over a shell-painted ash veneer base. The drawer runs on Hettich soft-close runners and the legs sit 340mm apart. The travertine is not UV treated.

Hettich runners are a named specification on a component you operate in the dark, half asleep, most nights of your life. Soft-close means the drawer will not slam when you push it shut without looking, which is a small thing that matters more on a bedside than anywhere else in a house.
Travertine is the more forgiving of the stones. It is warmer and more open-textured than marble, so it sits comfortably against a painted timber base rather than reading as a luxury insert. The important caveat is that it has not been UV treated, so a bedside in a bright window is the wrong placement. Natural stone varies slab to slab; the veining you receive will not match the photograph, which is a feature of the material rather than a fault in the piece.

Travertine is a natural stone and wants treating as one. It has not been UV treated, so keep the piece out of prolonged direct sunlight. Variation in colour and veining between pieces is normal.

White glove delivery
Our two-person team carries your piece into the room of your choice, unpacks it, assembles it where needed and takes the packaging away.
Delivery price: one price per order, set by the largest service in it. Furniture and rugs come white glove, metro from $199, regional from $349. Mirrors, art and large decor or lighting come by room delivery, from $149: two people place them in your room, without hanging or installation. Lighting ships by courier from $49. Smaller decor ships by courier from $25, usually free on decor orders over $350. Some remote areas are quoted after you order.
In-stock pieces usually arrive in 2 to 4 weeks. Out-of-stock and made-to-order pieces can take up to 12 to 16 weeks. We'll confirm your timing and call to book your delivery.
Restricted access: stairs, tight corners, a long carry from the truck or no parking nearby add $79. Lifts are fine.
