Black marble on dark oak is the version with no contrast in it at all, and that is the appeal. The piece reads as one dark mass beside a bed, which against pale bedding becomes a deliberate punctuation rather than a piece of furniture asking to be noticed.
Dark stone hides marks and shows dust, which is the trade you accept in exchange for the drama. It also makes the crescent silhouette read more clearly than a pale finish would, since the shape is defined by its outline rather than by the light falling across it. The drawer at 95mm internal height is shallow; the 370mm of open leg beneath the case is where the piece earns its lightness. Both sealers are matched to their material, resin on the stone and water-based on the veneer.

White glove delivery
Our two-person team carries your piece into the room of your choice, unpacks it, assembles it where needed and takes the packaging away.
Delivery price: one price per order, set by the largest service in it. Furniture and rugs come white glove, metro from $199, regional from $349. Mirrors, art and large decor or lighting come by room delivery, from $149: two people place them in your room, without hanging or installation. Lighting ships by courier from $49. Smaller decor ships by courier from $25, usually free on decor orders over $350. Some remote areas are quoted after you order.
In-stock pieces usually arrive in 2 to 4 weeks. Out-of-stock and made-to-order pieces can take up to 12 to 16 weeks. We'll confirm your timing and call to book your delivery.
Restricted access: stairs, tight corners, a long carry from the truck or no parking nearby add $79. Lifts are fine.
