Floor stock only: this chair is the display piece rather than new stock. The Michigan Dining Chair has a handwoven rattan seat and backrest on a solid Mindi wood frame, in a smoke grey wash with black legs. The chair is 53cm wide and 88cm high, with the seat at 45cm.

Rattan and timber together is a combination that has been done badly many times. What lifts this one is that the weave is handwoven rather than machine pressed, and it covers both the seat and the backrest, so the chair breathes and stays light to lift.
Buy it understanding what floor stock means. This is the piece that has been on display, so expect the marks that come with that, and there will not be a second one to match if you want a set later. The source itself recommends ordering dining chairs in batches to keep finishes consistent, which is sound advice and an argument against starting a set with a single floor model. The natural materials mean colour and texture vary piece to piece regardless.

Dust regularly with a soft cloth to keep the rattan in good condition. Wipe spills straight away with a damp cloth. Keep the chair out of direct sunlight and away from excess moisture, both of which affect timber and rattan over time.

White glove delivery
Our two-person team carries your piece into the room of your choice, unpacks it, assembles it where needed and takes the packaging away.
Delivery price: one price per order, set by the largest service in it. Furniture and rugs come white glove, metro from $199, regional from $349. Mirrors, art and large decor or lighting come by room delivery, from $149: two people place them in your room, without hanging or installation. Lighting ships by courier from $49. Smaller decor ships by courier from $25, usually free on decor orders over $350. Some remote areas are quoted after you order.
In-stock pieces usually arrive in 2 to 4 weeks. Out-of-stock and made-to-order pieces can take up to 12 to 16 weeks. We'll confirm your timing and call to book your delivery.
Restricted access: stairs, tight corners, a long carry from the truck or no parking nearby add $79. Lifts are fine.
