Maverick Oak Dining Table
The Maverick Oak Dining Table seats eight, built from solid oak with every bolt and screw concealed. It measures 240cm long. Designed by Australian designer Patryk Koca, who draws on architecture and the natural landscape around Sydney.

The detail behind the silhouette
Concealing the fixings is harder than it sounds and it is what gives this table its character. With no visible bolts or screw heads, the structure reads as one continuous form rather than components joined together, which is why the description of it as fluid is fair rather than marketing.
At 240cm seating eight, this is a table for a household that hosts. Solid oak rather than veneer means it takes that use, and oak's pale, even grain keeps a table this large from feeling heavy in a room. Patryk Koca is Sydney-based and cites architecture and the natural surroundings of the area as his reference points, which shows in the honed, geometric restraint rather than any decorative flourish.
