Jimbo Suar Wood No Lip Bowl
The Jimbo Suar Wood No Lip Bowl is carved from a single block of suar wood and finished in charred semi-matte black, at roughly 50 x 50 x 20cm. Made in Indonesia, it is sized for a coffee table, a console or a wide shelf. Because each one follows the block it came from, no two are quite alike.

A bowl this size is not really for holding things, or not for holding much. It is an object with a curve and a shadow, and it does its best work sitting empty on a low table where you can take in the whole of it.
Charring darkens the timber without burying the grain, so it stays legibly wooden rather than turning into a flat black shape. Suar is dense and you feel that the moment you pick it up. Treat the measurements as close rather than exact, since size and shape shift a little from piece to piece.

White glove delivery
Our two-person team carries your piece into the room of your choice, unpacks it, assembles it where needed and takes the packaging away.
Delivery price: one price per order, set by the largest service in it. Furniture and rugs come white glove, metro from $199, regional from $349. Mirrors, art and large decor or lighting come by room delivery, from $149: two people place them in your room, without hanging or installation. Lighting ships by courier from $49. Smaller decor ships by courier from $25, usually free on decor orders over $350. Some remote areas are quoted after you order.
In-stock pieces usually arrive in 2 to 4 weeks. Out-of-stock and made-to-order pieces can take up to 12 to 16 weeks. We'll confirm your timing and call to book your delivery.
Restricted access: stairs, tight corners, a long carry from the truck or no parking nearby add $79. Lifts are fine.
