Hayes Side Table Oak
The Hayes Side Table in Black Oak is 48cm wide, 48cm deep and 48cm high, with three hourglass-shaped solid oak legs. The round top combines solid oak, MDF and oak veneer with a full bullnose edge. It arrives fully assembled.

A black finish on oak is a stain rather than a paint, and the difference is visible. The grain still reads through the colour, so the table has the depth of timber rather than the flatness of a coated surface, which is what keeps a dark side table from looking like a black box beside a sofa.
Dark and small is a combination worth using deliberately. A black side table anchors a corner of a room that would otherwise float, and because the piece is only 48cm across it adds that weight without taking any real space, which a larger dark piece cannot do.
The full bullnose is more pronounced than a partial one and it suits the dark finish. A rolled edge catches a highlight all the way round, so the outline of the top stays legible even when the colour is absorbing most of the light.

Dust with a dry cloth. A dark stained finish shows dust more readily than a pale one, so a regular wipe keeps it looking right.

White glove delivery
Our two-person team carries your piece into the room of your choice, unpacks it, assembles it where needed and takes the packaging away.
Delivery price: one price per order, set by the largest service in it. Furniture and rugs come white glove, metro from $199, regional from $349. Mirrors, art and large decor or lighting come by room delivery, from $149: two people place them in your room, without hanging or installation. Lighting ships by courier from $49. Smaller decor ships by courier from $25, usually free on decor orders over $350. Some remote areas are quoted after you order.
In-stock pieces usually arrive in 2 to 4 weeks. Out-of-stock and made-to-order pieces can take up to 12 to 16 weeks. We'll confirm your timing and call to book your delivery.
Restricted access: stairs, tight corners, a long carry from the truck or no parking nearby add $79. Lifts are fine.
