The Flint Dining Table in Oak is the shorter version at 226cm long, 118cm wide and 76cm high, in oak veneer. Four oversized pillar legs can be set inset or at the outer edges. The same width as the longer table gives it the same serving depth.

Choosing between the two Flint lengths is really a choice about the ends. At 226cm the table is long enough for eight along the sides, and the repositionable legs decide whether the ends are usable; set inset, two more places appear, and that is where the real difference between the sizes lies.

Keeping the 118cm width at the shorter length is the more considered decision. Most ranges narrow the smaller table as well as shortening it, which changes the proportion and the way it serves; here the table simply loses length, so a runner, a centrepiece or two people working from opposite sides all behave exactly as they do on the longer one.

Pillar legs at this scale also determine where the table can go. They sit in from the corners, so the overhang at each end is what you measure against a wall, not the leg position.
