Tall and narrow is the shape to look for when floor space is the constraint rather than wall space. At 90cm wide and 45cm deep this takes less floor than a sideboard and holds considerably more, because it uses the height a low case wastes.

The open rack at the base is the practical detail. Doors are for what you want hidden; an open shelf at the bottom is where baskets, shoes or firewood live, and it means the cabinet does not have to be opened every time.

The caveat with any 160cm case is stability. It wants to be strapped to the wall in a house with children, and a tall cabinet on an uneven floor will rock unless the feet are packed.
