The detail behind the silhouette
A one-to-one weave is the plainest structure a rug can have: one warp, one weft, no float and no pattern beyond what the yarn itself supplies. That puts the entire character of the rug into the fibre, which is why a two-tone yarn matters so much here.
The wool and viscose combination gives a rug two surfaces at once. Wool is matte and takes the wear; viscose is lustrous and catches light, so the same rug looks warmer in lamplight and cooler in daylight.
Under a dining table the measurement that matters is the overhang: a chair has to stay on the rug when it is pulled out, so the rug needs to extend well past the table edge on every side. Measure the table and the pulled-out chair together rather than the table alone.
Material: Handwoven wool and viscose blend
Construction: Flatweave, one-to-one weave pattern
Colour: Oat/Natural
Handcrafted: Yes
Vacuum without a beater bar. Do not wet-clean, since viscose marks with water. Blot spills immediately.
