The piece
The detail behind the silhouette
Burgundy is a committed colour and it behaves like one. It reads almost black in low light and shows its red only under lamps or daylight, which makes it a dramatic choice for a dining room used mostly in the evening and a quieter one for a room that gets the morning sun.
The seat proportions are the argument for this chair over a plain side chair. At 475mm the seat sits a little higher than most dining chairs, which suits a taller table, and 430mm of depth is enough to sit properly back into. The 20,000 Martindale rating is modest, so treat this as a considered dining room chair rather than one for a kitchen table that takes school lunches every morning.

White glove delivery
Our two-person team carries your piece into the room of your choice, unpacks it, assembles it where needed and takes the packaging away.
Delivery price: one price per order, set by the largest service in it. Furniture and rugs come white glove, metro from $199, regional from $349. Mirrors, art and large decor or lighting come by room delivery, from $149: two people place them in your room, without hanging or installation. Lighting ships by courier from $49. Smaller decor ships by courier from $25, usually free on decor orders over $350. Some remote areas are quoted after you order.
In-stock pieces usually arrive in 2 to 4 weeks. Out-of-stock and made-to-order pieces can take up to 12 to 16 weeks. We'll confirm your timing and call to book your delivery.
Restricted access: stairs, tight corners, a long carry from the truck or no parking nearby add $79. Lifts are fine.
