Firm foam with a fibre wrap is the fill to want on a daybed rather than on a sofa. A daybed is used lying down as often as sitting, and a soft fill that feels welcoming for ten minutes offers nothing to push against over an hour, whereas a firm core with a softer surface holds the body without going flat.
A Martindale rating of 25,000 puts this a step above the lightest domestic fabrics, which suits a piece that will take shoes, books and the occasional dog. It is still an indoor rating, so a position in direct sun through glass will fade it faster than the rating suggests.
At 80cm deep this is narrower than a single mattress, which is the right way to think about the footprint. It will not double as a spare bed, but it will fit a bay window or a wall a full daybed could not.

Our two-person team carries your piece into the room of your choice, unpacks it, assembles it where needed and takes the packaging away.
Delivery price: one price per order, set by the largest service in it. Furniture and rugs come white glove, metro from $199, regional from $349. Mirrors, art and large decor or lighting come by room delivery, from $149: two people place them in your room, without hanging or installation. Lighting ships by courier from $49. Smaller decor ships by courier from $25, usually free on decor orders over $350. Some remote areas are quoted after you order.
In-stock pieces usually arrive in 2 to 4 weeks. Out-of-stock and made-to-order pieces can take up to 12 to 16 weeks. We'll confirm your timing and call to book your delivery.
Restricted access: stairs, tight corners, a long carry from the truck or no parking nearby add $79. Lifts are fine.
