Spheres as legs are a structural indulgence and they are the whole reason to consider this table. A sphere touches the floor at a single point and the top at a single point, so the table appears to rest rather than to stand, which is a very different effect from a plinth or a frame.
A full bullnose rounds the entire edge of the top rather than just the upper half, which on a stone table is the safer profile as well as the softer-looking one. At 25.5cm the table is low, closer to a Japanese proportion than to a standard coffee table, so it suits a deep low sofa and will look stranded beside an upright one. The water-based sealer needs a cloth rather than an abrasive cleaner.
